Qualifications And Experience Requirements

University degree in Accounting, Commerce, Economics or Business.

Certified Chartered Accountant/ Certified Public Accountant.(M)
Current member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) with a valid membership Certificate (AA).
4 years working experience in busy accounting/finance function 2 of which must be in a management position.

Job Specification

Key Responsibilities
Management information and reporting through the established management reporting system.
Accounting and external Financial Reporting. Preparation of financial results for communication to relevant external parties, includes oversight and coordination of statutory reporting and audits by Central Bank, Revenue Authorities and any other financial services regulators.
Periodically evaluate the various performance measurement processes and suggest any improvements.
Ensure all statutory and regulatory reports are correct and submitted in a timely manner as well as with various government bodies, on all tax, accounting and reporting requirements.

Management of the medical scheme administration through receiving, tabulating, dispatching, updating and tracking new and existing
medical claims and premiums payments.
Management of the pension scheme administration through registration of new members and follow up on contributions of staff who have exited the bank.
Enrollment of new staff into the statutory deductions schemes; NHIF, NSSF, HELB and PIN and ensure payments are collected and paid to the relevant authorities.
Maintaining and updating staff information database on Ajira by maintaining timely and accurate data entry and generation of required reports.

Key Responsibilities
Review, evaluate and manage risks, to ensure adherence to the Bank’s risk framework and wider industry regulations.
Identify and translate market opportunities into new products and services in order to generate profitable business for the Bank.
This includes the production of clear business cases defining product features and functionality, target market, P&L projections and any changes required to internal processes and service delivery.

Qualifications And Experience Requirements
University degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (M) – Upper second class Honors or 3.0 GPA.
Minimum 2 years working experience, with 1 year experience in a busy IT environment.
Certification in a systems audit or security related area, such as CISA, CISM or CISSP.
Experience of working in the IT function within a banking environment will be an advantage.
Working technical knowledge of ATMs will be an advantage.
Experience in audit of systems will be an advantage.

Job Specification
Reports To: Chief Manager – Risk & Compliance

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform continuous reviews of users of systems with emphasis on exits, joiners and internal movements, and take appropriate corrective actions where there are deviations.
Liaise with business heads to continuously confirm and update rights and privileges of users in the bank.
Perform continuous review of systems, including technical penetration testing and vulnerability assessment of systems.
Communicate finding with IT management and follow up issues to closure.
Perform daily reviews of logs and audit trail of key and critical JBB systems as per the program of work.
