Safaricom’s Twaweza Live Concert is currently being held in Kisumu. The events which have been organized by Safaricom are part of the efforts that the company has been making to empower Kenyans to  exploit their talents and pursue their dreams.

The culmination will be the Twaweza Live concert will be held at the ASK Show Ground. Apart from the live concert, Safaricom has been head hunting for local talents. For example, during the Kisumu show tomorrow, local Safaricom’s Twaweza talent winners in music, deejay and hype master categories will receive voice performance and song writing coaching from Sauti Academy.

“Twaweza Live is a platform that is giving an opportunity to people in various parts of the country a chance to showcase their talent in various creative categories. We want to live to our brand promise that when we come together great things happen. We have seen a lot of excitement and massive talent in the regions and we hope to leave a positive impact in the lives of the people that engage with us in the regions” says Charles Kare, Acting Director, Consumer Business Unit, Safaricom.

The ‘Safaricom Twaweza Live’ experience was launched in May in a bid to positively impact customers and communities around the country. It is scheduled to last for seven months, during which Safaricom will be engaging with communities across Kenya through free medical camps, campus take overs, device offers, talent search activities, youth mentorship programmes and music concerts.

Safaricom’s Twaweza Live concert that will be climaxed tomorrow will host a number of top veteran musicians including GidiGid Majimaji, Nameless and Jua Cali.

Other artistes who will also perform at the concert include Willy Paul, Akothee, Musa Jakadala, Mercy Masika, King Kaka, Hypemasters – Jalang’o, Njugush and Alemba. Top Kenyan disc jockeys lead by DJ Joe Mfalme, Kriss Darlin and DJ Deff will also make an appearance and performance.
