The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry has  co-hosted the first China HomeLife Kenya Exhibition being held in Nairobi to maximize networking opportunities for importers, wholesalers and volume buyers with dependable and verified Chinese manufacturers.

The event which is ongoing at the Kenyatta Convention Centre (KICC) brings to Nairobi over 600 verified superior top Chinese suppliers from the home product category. The event presents a lucrative opportunity for importers, traders and buyers to source high quality products directly from manufacturers at competitive prices.

Speaking at the event Deputy Director of the Guangdong department of commerce Ma Hua said the exhibition will help local investors connect with their Chinese counterparts to allow them access products without using middlemen thus reducing costs.

“This exhibition not only furthers the continued relationship that Kenyan and Chinese businesses have had spanning hundreds of years but also allows these investors to easily access both markets through trusted partners, ” said Ma Hua, Deputy Director of the Guangdong department of commerce.

The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry urged the Chinese companies to consider manufacturing from Kenya so as to access the larger African continent with the signing of the Africa continental free trade area agreement earlier in the year.

” Kenya is very keen to tap into Chinese expertise and the country has put in place tailor made programmes for business people from China who want to invest in Kenya to enable them to access the market with little or no challenges. To this end Chinese investors can set up in industrial parks, export processing zones and special economic zones giving them many incentives and access to both the local and regional market,” said KNCCI Vice Chairman James Mureu.
