Local Brand Storytellers, Idea Hive, today announced their partnership with Kenyan Marketing and Communications agency, Red Fox Communications (‘Red Fox’), to provide essential brand and digital storytelling strategy and execution services to the African continent, starting with Kenya and advancing to Nigeria, Ghana and Rwanda. This is a first for the South African agency which has become the first-choice for brands like McDonald’s and Shell.
Trade relations between Kenya and South Africa have strengthened over the last few years, with 31 percent of South Africa’s total trans-African exports being to Kenya in 2018. Kenya, like South Africa, has embraced the private sector as the engine of growth and is focused on enhancing investment performance by continually improving its enabling business environment.
Speaking at the 3rd Kenya Trade and Investment Summit in Johannesburg on 4th April 2019, Kenyan Cabinet Secretary Amb. Monica Juma urged the private sectors of both countries to drive the growth of trade and investment, and anchor infra-Africa trade by taking full advantage of the AfCFTA, to grow Intra-Africa trade and integration.
The Idea Hive/Red Fox partnership will provide South African businesses in Kenya and those looking to move into Kenya, with a native solution to their marketing, digital, advertising and communications needs.
Red Fox offers a proven track record and a keen understanding of the local business environment, clients and customer behaviour, whilst Idea Hive brings to the table its sophisticated strategic and implementation skills as well as a set of intuitive KPI’s built into the strategy.
Mbugua Ngugi, Founder and Business Development Director at Red Fox said, “The partnership with Idea Hive represents a significant step forward in the evolution of our business by giving access to resources previously unavailable to our business partners.”
‘Current trends in marketing suggest a growing significance in content driven brand growth. Every brand has a story to tell and this partnership gives us the tools necessary to craft and deliver great brand stories to supplementing our branding, activation and other services.”
Red Fox Communications will change it’s trading name to “Red Fox Communications / Idea Hive” and the venture will be launched to Kenyan and South African businesses in Nairobi, in early July 2019.
“We’re excited! We are a small, agile team and we feel we have a lot to offer to compliment the already strong suite of services offered by Red Fox,” Dwomoh concludes.
