Customer experience is the Wind beneath Successful Business
This appointment marks a homecoming for Claire, who held several key leadership roles at Ajua between 2015 and 2020, including Vice President of Partnerships, Chief Operating Officer, and Head of Growth and Strategy. During her previous tenure, she drove a 400% revenue growth across markets in East and West Africa as well as the Caribbean, while leading pivotal partnerships, notably with Safaricom’s SPARK Venture Fund.
With over 18 years of experience in the CX and telecommunications space, Claire brings a wealth of insight and innovation. At Telkom Kenya, she led initiatives that cut service resolution times by 40%, enhanced customer satisfaction through automation and staff development, and drove internal innovations contributing to 30% of commercial revenue.
Her earlier career includes transformative work at Safaricom, where she helped launch influential products like Okoa Jahazi—a key revenue driver—and Africa’s first cash economy platform, Consumer Wallet. She also established the Safaricom Academy, a pioneering hub for nurturing tech talent and entrepreneurship in the region.
Claire’s influence extends to collaborations with global institutions such as McKinsey, Harvard, and Kenya Airways, and telecom giants including Airtel, MTN, and Digicel, cementing her reputation as a leading architect of customer-led growth strategies.
“Claire’s return marks a defining moment for Ajua and for African businesses that are ready to unlock new levels of growth through customer-centric innovation,” said Nyasha Mutsekwa, CEO of Ajua.
