Census 2019 Recruitment: What you need to get jobs

Census 2019 Recruitment: The recruitment of personnel for the 2019 population and housing census is set to begin.

Applications for the job will be received between June 11 and 24.

KNBS targets to recruit approximately 2,700 IT experts, 27,000 content supervisors and about 135,000 enumerators.

Census 2019 Recruitment

One would be required to have at least a diploma in IT and two years’ experience to qualify for IT supervisor and should be a resident of the subcounty where they will be working. IT supervisors will work for 23 days.

Content supervisors would be required to have at least a diploma in any field of study with some experience. Content Supervisors will also work for 23 days and should be residents of the location where they will be working.

Census 2019 Recruitment

Enumerators will be holders of at least a C plain in KCSE. Besides being residents of the village where they will be working, applicants for enumerator position should demonstrate ability to use a smartphone.

The theme for the census is, Counting our people for sustainable development and devolution of services.

The 2019 National Population and Housing Census will be conducted digitally with the KNBS set to acquire about 165,000 mobile devices for the exercise.

This will be the eighth census in Kenya’s history with two of the previous seven having been conducted during the pre-independence period. The census is conducted every ten years.
