Bonney Tunya interviews Deloitte’s lead engagement partner, Dr. Mark Smith
The first Nyali Bridge was built around 35 years ago. At that time, the population of Mombasa was about 200,000 people. First forward to 2015 and now the city is home to over a million people and in the next 10 years it’s going to be double that.
As one can imagine, the traffic congestion the population increase has brought and will continue to do so in the future is immense. Thus now is the perfect time to build the bridge, not to mention the economic growth associated with its construction.
