$10,000 USD on offer from KAUST for technology-based solutions to real-world problems

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) is offering 10,000USD first-place prize money in its Resilience Challenge, aimed at solving problems in local ecosystems such as climate change, disasters, epidemics, food insecurity and environmental degradation.

“We are seeking technology-based solutions from any entrant globally,” said Inji Jaber, Women to Impact Founder. “They just need to be solutions that help local ecosystems build resilience to real-world challenges.”

Although under the umbrella of the Women to Impact initiative, the challenge allows entries from teams with mixed genders. Teams and individuals can simply register to the challenges platform and explore the different topics. Participants must complete the questionnaire online with their team members and, once ready, submit their solutions.
