Kenindia Assurance Limited, Kenya’s oldest insurance company has today announced the appointment of Uthup Joseph as Life Insurance General Manager effective August 2nd 2019
Prior to taking up his new role at Kenindia Assurance, Uthup Joseph spent 28 years at Life Insurance Corporation of India, serving most recently as Senior Divisional Manager looking after Individual Life Insurance and Pension and Group Schemes.
Leading the life insurance business of the company, Life Insurance Corporation of India will help drive Kenindia’s growth strategy through implementation of customer based programs for the life insurance business.
Commenting during the announcement, Kenindia’s Managing Director Mr. Inderjeet Singh said: Uthup Joseph brings to the company valuable experience as a leader, with his illustrious track record and value system making him an ideal addition to our life insurance business.”

From 2010 to date, the company has increased its market share of its life insurance segment in the country from 4% to 6.4% overall.
