The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNNCI) held its third edition of the Mombasa Business Awards.
The awards, which are a flagship program ran by KNCCI, are aimed at recognizing the business community within Mombasa County. “Since 2013, the Mombasa Business Awards has become the premier event of the year, recognizing the achievements and contributions of business men in Mombasa County,” KNNCI told Bizna in a statement.
According to KNCCI, the awards were a success compared to the previous two editions. It attracted a 67 per cent more participants.
“We expect a bigger and better event in 2017, because we intend to have more sponsors on board, add more categories, partner with media and benchmark against similar events in Kenya to make this the premier business awards in Mombasa,” said Mr. James Mureu, the chairman for the KNCCI Mombasa Chapter.
The Gala event co-sponsored by the Mombasa County Government and was held at the Sarova Whitesands beach resort and Spa, Mombasa.
