Nairobi Space Days:Showcasing and Dissemination of Innovations In Space Technology

Nairobi Space Days

Innovation in the near future will be based on space technologies. To capture this trend, Openet Technologies in collaboration with E4Impact Foundation are proud to inform you about the SPARKme initiative that has supported the creation of two Technological Accelerators, located in Matera, Italy and in Nairobi, Kenya aimed at developing technology transfer and capacity building activities to facilitate the use of space technologies and systems for commercial applications (products and/or services). This is supported by the Italian Space Agency and the European Space Agency.

The mission of the Technological Accelerators is to support innovative ideas with high potential, placing interaction between the research and the space industry at the heart of a process of territorial economic development and growth.

The Accelerators will also exploit the know-how and the assets represented by the advanced space, satellite and telecommunication technologies available in the two territories. The ultimate goal is to stimulate the creation and growth of new markets of space/satellite-based services, addressing the real users’ need and triggering cross-fertilization processes by “infusing” other areas of business activity with the use of space technologies.
