Nelson Havi concedes in Westland’s parliamentary race

Former Law Society of Kenya president and United Democratic Alliance Westland’s MP aspirant, Nelson Havi has accepted his defeat in the race for the Westlands parliament spot. Nelson Havi and other MP aspirants have lost to Azimio’s incumbent MP, Tim Wanyonyi.

Nelson Havi has said that the support he received in Westland’s campaigns was no match at all to the support Tim Wanyonyi had. He however acknowledged the defeat honorably and congratulated Tim Wanyonyi on his success in the elections.

“Well done Team Havi. We are the minority in the Westlands contest. The majority chose Timothy Wanyonyi. They duly deserve him in their wisdom or lack of it.” He wrote on Facebook.

“On our part, we are contented with the outcome. Congratulations to you my elder brother, Timothy Wanyonyi. Serve well.”

The lawyer has urged the public to move on and maximize the use of their time, instead of trolling him on the internet. The lawyer said since the elections he has had 12 hours to rest, and a cold shower afterward. Thereafter, like any other Kenyan, he has left for work in his daughter’s car, after she just left for London.

Following the release of several election results today, several candidates countrywide have come out to concede their defeat and congratulate their opponents.
