A part of a 6 storey building collapsed in Nyali Mombasa. The six storey building that houses Nyali Mall caved in on Monday morning at around 4am.
Mombasa County Urban planning executive Francis Thoya said sections of the premises, including Java House, the Boxing Lounge and several banks, were closed.
According to Mr. Thoya, officials will inspect the building before making recommendations. He further added that the authorities were searching for the engineers and contractors who did a “shoddy job”.
No injuries were reported.
