Safaricom Mashujaa Day: Leading telecommunications firm, Safaricom is celebrating Mashujaa Day by rewarding all its customers.

Today, every coin you spend to make calls, browse or send an SMS will be rewarded back to you as a bonus.

“Wewe ni Shujaa wetu! As we celebrate you, all the airtime you use today will be given back to you tomorrow,” said Safaricom in a statement.

According to Safaricom, the airtime reward will become active on Sunday and will last for 24 hours.

Interestingly, though, Kenyans will be able to extend this period by purchasing Safaricom voice or data products that have longer expiry timelines.

For example, if you spend Sh. 100 today, Safaricom will give you back Sh. 100 tomorrow. You can then use this bonus to purchase the weekly bundle of 350 megabytes and free WhatsApp instead of seeing the free airtime through within 24 hours.
