Following a number of public complaints, that has translated to bad business for the Taxi Industry, Taxify has come out strongly to set the record straight.

To give their business partners, customers, and employees assurance and confidence, Taxify has issued a statement following the recent allegations and reports on sexual assault.

The statement reads:

Taxify issues the following statement to notify our riders, drivers, esteemed business partners and members of the public, that we are aware and deeply concerned by the recent allegations and reports of sexual assault on our platform.

The case was immediately flagged and attended to by our high priority response team, who are investigating the complaint to ensure that the right action is taken. Our customer support team has since contacted the rider and  the reported driver who has since been deactivated from the platform to leave room for investigation.

The safety of all passengers and drivers is of highest importance. The global nature of our business requires us to uphold stringent policies and practices to ensure that rides are safe everyday. Our passengers deserve safe, reliable and affordable rides and we work hard to meet the highest standards of our service.  Again, the safety of both drivers and passenger remains the highest priority for us.
