Unilever East Africa has officially relocated its corporate offices from their manufacturing site in industrial area. This move cements the company’s upcoming growth and expansion plans for the coming years.
The new world-class offices are located at the Water Mark Business Park in Karen and will be the head office for Unilever’s East Africa operations. The office has been designed to celebrate and foster a collaborative and agile working environment through its open plan layout that removes traditional hierarchical office layout structures as the CEO and leadership will seat with their teams.
Speaking during the opening of the new offices, Mr. Julius Korir, Principal Secretary, State Department of Industry and Enterprise Development hailed Unilever for being a front leader in the growth and development of East Africa.
“As a Government, we are very proud that Unilever continues to prosper in the Kenyan market. As companies prosper and grow, they are able to continue to invest in the country, create economic opportunities within industry and create jobs for our young people”.
Marc Engel, Unilever East Africa CEO further explained the company’s involvement in retail and supplies.
“As we grow our business consistently and responsibly, we continue to create economic opportunities throughout our value chain for our suppliers and retailers throughout our extensive distribution network; whilst maintaining quality brands and innovation in accessible and affordable formats,” he explained.
He added that with over 80 years in Kenya, Unilever has created employment for generations, locally sourcing raw ingredients from Kenya, distributing finished goods to meet needs across the country and even exporting to her neighbours.
Bruno Witvoet, Unilever Africa President, further reiterated the vital role of Kenya and East Africa in the company’s regional growth strategy.

The new office also provides a world class environment for the employees, creating a great place to work, driving inclusivity and better collaboration. In addition to the creatively stimulating environment, the office is wheelchair friendly and has a dedicated area for nursing mothers and prayer room facilities.
