The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has released the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results slips.

In a notice on Wednesday, February 5, KNEC said the examination results slips have been dispatched to all Sub-County Directors of Education (SCDEs) offices across the country.

KNEC urged school heads to coordinate with Sub-County Directors of Education (SCDEs) to collect the slips.

“Schools that presented candidates for the examination are advised to liaise with their SCDEs to collect the result slips,” KNEC stated.

The notice comes a day after the examination body exposed a scam promising an upgrade for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary School Education (KCSE) results.

In a post on Tuesday, February 4, KNEC flagged a social media post asking Kenyans who sat for their KCSE between 2000 and 2024 to apply for grade upgrades and processing of KCSE certificates.

The post also called on Kenyans who sat for their Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) exams between 2010 and 2024 and would like to change their grades to also apply.

“The above years have been made open source information in the KNEC database/servers; that’s why we are taking this opportunity to do an upgrade for those who never coped with their grades,” the fake post said in part.

However, KNEC has labeled this message as a “scam”, reaffirming that it does not offer any form of grade alteration services.

“Beware of fraudsters. Do not be conned. Be alert,” KNEC cautioned members of the public.
