Nyeri Town member of parliament Ngunjiri Wambugu has lost his parliamentary seat. Wambugu lost his seat to UDA’s Duncan Mathenge.
Ngunjiri was contesting for the seat under the Jubilee party ticket which is affiliated with retiring president Uhuru Kenyatta.

Ngunjiri and his Kieni counterpart Kanini Kega have now become some of the top victims of the UDA party wave that has cost allies of President Uhuru Kenyatta their seats.
