Kalonzo: Supreme Court must rule no General Election has taken place

Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has claimed that Kenyans must head back to another General Election.

According to Kalonzo, this is because their presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, was allegedly robbed of his victory.

While speaking at the Jesus Teaching Ministry in Donholm Nairobi, Kalonzo said that there is no way the elections can be over.

“This general election is not over,” said Kalonzo Musyoka as he affirmed Azimio la Umjoa’s decision to file an election petition at the Supreme Court of Kenya.

Kalonzo blamed the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission for declaring William Ruto as the winner in the election.

“This general election is not over. I have vied many times but never seen a situation where the electoral body ends up shortchanging the whole country,” said Kalonzo.

Raila: My victory was stolen. We’ll show world at Supreme Court

“So, as far as I’m concerned, this matter may be canvassed elsewhere in the Supreme Court. It is arguable that no General Election has taken place.”

At the same time, Mr. Odinga who was the flagbearer for the Azimio coalition said that his victory had been stolen and handed to Dr. Ruto.

“There is no doubt in our mind that the Kenyan people spoke loudly on the 9th of August. Their voice won’t be muzzled and their victory won’t be taken away,” Odinga said.
