The KCPE 2022 Results have been released. The results were released by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu.
9,443 candidates scored 400 marks and above with the top candidate scoring 431 marks. CS Machogu deviated from tradition by failing to announce the name of the candidate who took the top position.
In the exam, 39 candidates with special needs scored 400 and above marks. This was an improvement from the two candidates who scored 400 and above in the 2021 results.
In the exams, 620,965 (50. 32%) were boys while 612,887 (49.67%) were girls.

1,233,188 candidates were registered for the examination in 28,408 centres.. The examination was administered from November 28 to 30 2022.
After the official announcement of the results, candidates can immediately get their results by sending their index number to SMS code 20076. The charges will be Sh. 25 per text message.
In the previous KCPE results that were released in March 2021, Magata Bruce Mackenzie was declared the top pupil with 427 marks. In the exams, 11,857 candidates managed to get over 400 marks.
In that exam, 1.25 million candidates were registered. The figure was 33,755 more than those who sat the 2020 examinations.
