Nana Owiti has shared how she built her first rental houses at the age of 20 years. Nana Owiti shared that her houses were mabati rentals.
By the age of 24 years, Nana had built thirteen mabati rentals. Here is her story as Nana Owiti shared it:
“Been a minute since I told y’all a story. Here goes!! As always I will remind those that don’t like reading to hop off the bus this post is not for you but you can admire the drip as it’s always and will always be ETERNAL .
Now, this pic right here I was about 22yrs. Yaani, I’m so proud of this girl, you have no idea. She’s slayed dragons. I honestly wouldn’t want to have it any other way.
You see, Most of you don’t remember what you were doing at 22. I didn’t have that luxury. For me, every decision was calculated subconsciously sometimes.
You see, I became a parent in my teens by losing both our parents. Life didn’t give me time to prepare for what that looked like and neither did it hand me a manual.
My mother’s shoes had to be filled quickly! My 9yr old sister had to have a ‘mother’ or something close to that. Thinking back, I always thought I didn’t have a choice but to step up but now I know for sure I had a choice.I had an option.
King Kaka: How I built my empire when all I had was Sh. 1,200
I would have simply cowed in and thrown in the towel if I wanted to. I had an excuse, I was a freaking child!! Instead of the excuses, I found a reason to fight(if you know me then you know, I’m a FIGHTER).
You see those mabati houses right behind me in this pic? I BUILT those! Not from anyone’s money but my grind’s! Most of those mabatis were from scrap(2nd hand). The first house the one painted (I’ve always had CRAZY tenants! Every lot had a crazy one.
I have a series of weird stories. Jesus! I’ve had another lifetime before this one) that was my first house to build it’s my favorite because it unlocked something deeply in me.
I was 20 when I had that constructed. By the time I was 24, I had 13 rental hoses!I was a LANDLADY! Boy, I don’t know who am talking to but age should never be an excuse to do damn sh*t.
Also, to be the best you must be able to handle the WORST. Life will always knock you down..Yes! Go down but DONT stay down!! Manze halafu don’t wait to have it all 2do what you plan to do. You will never have it all.
Start where you are and with what you have because Everything you need, You have. Never be scared to start small. Also, stay PRAYED UP! Love, Nana Owiti.”
