The National Youth Service (NYS) has announced 900 job vacancies for graduates in the Middle East-United Arab Emirates.
In the job advertisement dated January 15 2023, NYS noted successful candidates would take home salaries ranging between Sh68,000 to Sh163,000.
”We notify our esteemed NYS graduates of exciting career opportunities in the United Arab Emirates,” reads the statement in part.
“Working in an established award-winning global leader in shipyard and maritime industry, our graduates will not only be seeking employment but also get an opportunity to showcase and grow their talent,” it added.
NYS announces qualifications for 2024 recruitment
The advertised opportunities include positions of pipe filter (100), pipe welder (100), platter fabricator (100), welder FCAW (100), welding foreman (40), plater foreman (40), and piping foreman (20).
Others are blaster painter (100), foreman mechanical (50), foreman rudder and propeller (20), mechanical fitter (150) and rudder and propeller fitter (80).
The youth service, however, clarified that it will not be responsible for the recruitment exercise as the opportunities are employment liaison job linkages.
“National Youth Service is not recruiting. This is industry linkages under the employment and linkages office, ” NYS explained.
