M-Pesa, Safaricom, Equity Bank, Samsung and Ajab flour are the top five most loved brands by women in Kenya.
This is according to a recent report released by BSD Group and Ipsos, which elaborates on the consumer behavior of women countrywide.
Speaking on Tuesday at a Nairobi hotel during the launch of the report dubbed ‘the 100 Top Brands Africa 2024’, IPSOS Country Manager Chris Githaiga said the top 100 study is in its fourth year and seeks to bridge the knowledge and insights gap in understanding the female consumer market.
He noted that women constitute 50 percent of the Kenyan population, a number that cannot be ignored.
“That’s a huge population that you cannot afford to miss, and they are not just a significant part of the society they are a powerful economic force.

According to the Global Banking Alliance, women in Kenya control about 30% of the wealth, which is a huge consumer spending (that) as a brand we cannot afford not to be part of,” said Githaiga.
