Susan Wangari has been searching for son since June 25, 2024 when he disappeared. Her son, Emmanuel Mukuria Kamau was among thousands of youthful protestors who took to the streets in the Nairobi Central Business District to protest against the controversial Finance Bill 2024 that had sparked nationwide outrage and protests.
Since that day, his mother Susan has been visiting police station after police station, hospital after hospital searching for him in vain.
According to Susan’s cry for help which has been broadcast by the Nation Media Group, Mukuria her son was captured in a video protesting in Nairobi.
He was among a group of youthful protestors walking down from Ngara area and heading towards the city centre. He was dressed in a black vest, a black cap, and a grey trouser.
“My son was together with other touts when the police officers fired a tear gas canister at them,” Susan told the NMG. Her son was aged 24.

“I still believe that my son is alive and the people holding him will release him,” she said.
