Tracy Mureithi, a former Kenya High School student, is making great strides in Canada, having established a successful real estate company.

In an interview, Tracy revealed she moved to Canada in 2019 to pursue her degree in Business Technology Management at Toronto Metropolitan University.

“I went to The Kenya High School in Kileleshwa and went to Strathmore to pursue International accounting, but I moved to Canada before completing my Strathmore education.

While studying, the Kenya’s youngest realtor saw an opportunity in the real estate sector, prompting her to obtain her realtor’s license to try her hand at entrepreneurship thanks to her father, who nurtured her to actualize her dream.

“My dad is also an entrepreneur; he does construction and farming and also owns a fleet of matatus in Nyahururu,” she told Chams Media’s Daring Abroad.

The bold businesswoman finally completed her degree and now runs her own real estate company a journey that has been marked with both success and challenges.

Three years into the business, Tracy says she has so far sold 42 houses in Toronto. She, however, lamented some challenges, especially competition and racism, which barred her from reaching out to some clients.

“It was challenging to figure out my niche, and also, because we are predominantly in a white country, there are people who don’t work with me because I am black.” She says.

She adds that through the business, she aims to empower other young people to invest wisely and build wealth.

“I started my business three years ago because I wanted to be the person to spearhead our community into owning real estate in Canada and Kenya too. I wanted to teach them how to invest and where to put their money to make it grow and change my community,’’ she explained.
