NCBA sponsors over 100 business customers for market exposure trip to China

NCBA sponsors over 100 business customers for market exposure trip to China

Kenya is the main entry point for Chinese products into the African market. For Kenyan businesses, particularly MSMEs and SMEs, China offers a wealth of opportunities.

Reportedly, much of the trade from China to Kenya happens through business-to-business (B2B) or business-to-consumer (B2C) connections.

A visit to Nairobi’s busiest markets and surrounding metropolis regions shows how flooded they are with products from China. This goes a long way in showing the role that the Asian giants plays in Kenya’s economy.

NCBA recognized this trend and organized a trip for over 100 of its commercial and SME banking clients to China, aiming to expose them to new business opportunities and explore ways they can benefit from them.

This isn’t the first time NCBA has done this, as the bank has been organizing market exposure expeditions since 2016. These trips help clients join the global trading community and discover new and niche markets.

On the trip, NCBA customers will have the chance to source various trading goods and equipment. They’ll also gain insights into the latest business trends, market dynamics and technological advancements that set China apart.

The 12-day trip will include attending the Canton Fair, visiting manufacturers to form strategic partnerships, and enjoying China’s rich culture and tourist attractions.

According to the bank, these trips are designed to give their business customers global market exposure helping them excel in their ventures, in line with the institution’s slogan ‘Go For It!’
