The 18-hole Thika Sports Club will host over 200 golfers in the penultimate leg of the KCB East Africa Golf Tour this weekend as players continue to book their slots in the tour’s grand finale slated for December 6, 2024.

The 11-month-long series has seen action head to Nairobi, Mombasa, Kiambu, Nyeri, Kericho, Uasin Gishu, Nandi, Kericho, Kisii, Kakamega, Kisumu, and Machakos. In the East African region, Burundi and Tanzania have also fielded a tournament each.

Speaking ahead of the weekend’s tourney, Thika Sports Club Captain Moses Gatonye said: “We are preparing for Saturday’s amateur tournament where we expect over 200 golfers to be part of the event. Thika has become a hub for corporate golf events, our course is in good shape and can host many players. For sure, it will be a competitive tournament and I cannot wait to see who will emerge victorious.”
