Two years after Khaligraph Jones announced he was building his castle-like mansion in Nairobi, the rapper recently caused a buzz on social media by sharing photos and videos of the finished home.
Papa Jones, also known as the OG, had previously teased fans with glimpses of his stunning home. The interior spells elegance, amplified by high ceilings, bespoke white walls matched with splendid white marble tiles, all complemented by beautiful LED interior lighting.
Khaligraph’s fans couldn’t stop marvelling at the mansion’s size. Many took it a step further, photoshopping images of stores into the building to jokingly suggest it looked like a shopping mall.
The rapper took the jokes in good stride, responding with a humorous comment of his own.
“Unaamka unapata unatrend sababu umejenga nyumba kubwa inakaa mall. God knows these are the problems I was wishing for,” he wrote on his socials.
“Ati ground inasemaje? By fire, by force, the OG shall be respected.”
Khaligraph Jones previously shared that building the home was his way of inspiring himself and others, especially his fellow musicians in the industry.
“I’m building a home to show other musicians that it’s good to invest because, with this industry, things can change,” he said.
Photos circulating online reveal that Khaligraph spared no expense in building his dream home, which took about two years to complete. The ground floor has a curved staircase leading to the upper rooms. The house appears to have more than three bedrooms.
“I don’t have all that money, but mimi sijengi nyumba za ufala, najenga nyumba noma. It’s massive with many bedrooms,” the award-winning artist commented in the past.

Khaligraph funded his impressive home, complete with a lush compound, through his business ventures and music career.
He spoke of his humble beginnings, recalling the times when he faced homelessness. He shared how he started rapping as a teenager in Kayole alongside gospel artist Hopekid.
“Najisukuma, I’m striving to have one of the best just to show the people that this thing is possible because 10 years ago, I didn’t have a place to call home. Mimi nilikuwa naishi Dandora being housed by someone na nilikuwa nalala kwa kiti. So my mansion is to show people that nothing is impossible,” he said in a past interview.
“I came from something but it was nothing compared to the standards that I’ve set right now. The perception people have is that I come from a very well-off background but that’s not the case.”
