  1. CHRISTINE MUTUGI KAWIRA

She coordinates the selections, onboarding and training of innovators who later get an opportunity to collaborate or partner with Britam for business opportunities.

Hanifa, popularly known as Honey Farsafi, is an activist with huge online following on X platform where she champions for the rights of Kenyans. She leverages her social media influence to challenge the government and elected leaders to deliver on their promises.

Hanifa used her social media influence to galvanize support for the controversial anti-Finance bill 2024 and was in the forefront leading the “GenZ demonstrations”. She used her platform to share details of the planned demonstrations date, time and progress. She consistently called on the tech-savvy youth to stage peaceful demonstrations, use their smart phones and internet to drive tangible change. She successfully implemented “phygital activism” that integrates both digital mobilization and physical action to bring out impactful outcome. Hanifa also activated crowdfunding models supported by her social media influence in partnership with different crowdfunding platforms to fundraise more than Ksh 31 Million to take care of victims hospitalized during the demonstration. This is one of the highest amounts raised from online crowd funding in Kenya. She further invited an audit firm for compressive audit and public assurance of transparent use the funds.
