A list of countries whose citizens risk being banned permanently from entering the United States is dominated by African countries. The list has been developed by the US State Department.
The list contains countries whose citizens are currently banned from US, countries where granting of US visas is sharply restricted, and countries that have been given 60 days to get their act together or get banned.
The countries with an absolute travel ban from US include Afghanistan, Bhutan, Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen.
Countries where the US is strictly limiting visas include Belarus, Eritrea, Haiti, Laos, Myanmar, Pakistan, Russia, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Turkmenistan.
The list of countries with a a 60-day notice includes Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gambia, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, and Mauritania.
Others are Cape Verde, Chad, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia, Zimbabwe, Sao Tome and Principe, Dominica, Vanuatu, St. Lucia, and St. Kitts and Nevis.

Each category contains an African country. The list of countries from Africa in all the three categories includes Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Eritrea, South Sudan, Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gambia, Liberia, Malawi, Mali and Mauritania. Cape Verde, Chad, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia, Zimbabwe, and Sao Tome and Principe.
