Government announces full scholarships for D-students; how to apply

The National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) is calling for applications for fully sponsored vocational training for candidates who scored D- and above in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exam.

The initiative is part of the Kenya TVET Project 2025, implemented in partnership with the Danish Government’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It targets young people who want to gain hands-on, job-ready skills in the Building Construction sector, including Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical, and Solar Installation

“The initiative is part of Kenya’s broader agenda to build a technically competent workforce and reduce youth unemployment by empowering the next generation of artisans and construction specialists,” NITA stated.

The program offers fully funded training and examination fees for courses in plumbing, carpentry, electrical installation, and solar energy systems.

Successful applicants will undergo high-quality training at NITA Athi River before being awarded a structured industrial attachment and internationally recognized trade certifications.
