Former Home Afrika boss Njoroge Ng’ang’a is seeking an amount estimated to stand at sh. 7 million following the termination of his contract in 2015.
“The group is in receipt of certain claims for damages and other remuneration from former employees,” the Nairobi Securities Exchange-listed firm says in its latest annual report.
“Amounts payable based on agreement entered into with the former employees as of the date of approval of these financial statements have been provided for where material.”
Mr. Njoroge was sacked from the firm following a streak of losses in 2015, barely two years after his appointment.
He was replaced by Dan Awendo. Home Afrika, which is listed on the NSE, ha been on a loss making streak since launching on the local bourse.
Its stock has fallen from an all time high of Sh. 25 apiece to the current lows of Sh. 1 per share.
