US DV lottery 2021 registration period: The US State Department has announced the registration period for the highly anticipated 2021 Diversity Visa Program (Green Card Lottery).
The US DV lottery 2021 registration period will begin on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019 at 12pm EDT and end on Tuesday, November 5th, 2019 at 12pm EST.
List of US DV lottery 2021 eligible countries
A total of 55,000 permanent resident visas (green cards) will be available through this program. There is no cost to register for the Diversity Visa program. Registration is done free online. The Diversity Visa program provides permanent resident visas to nationals of countries with low immigration rates to the Unites States over the last five years.
For Fiscal Year 2021, 55,000 Diversity Visas will be available through a lottery system. The Diversity Visa program started in 1990 after the enactment of the Immigration Act of 1990 and is meant to diversity the immigration population in the United States. As such, nationals of countries with historically high levels of immigration to the United States are not eligible to participate in the program.
The following eighteen countries are not eligible to participate in DV-2021. This is because more 50,000 of their citizens immigrated to the US in the last five years:

2). Brazil
3). Canada
4). China (mainland-born)
5). Colombia
6). Dominican Republic
7). El Salvador
8). Guatemala
9). Haiti
10). India
11). Jamaica
12). Mexico
13). Nigeria
14). Pakistan
15). Philippines
16). South Korea
17). United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland) and its dependent territories
18). Vietnam.
