Larry Madowo CNN Journalist: A few months after leaving BBC to become the CNN Nairobi Correspondent, high flying Kenyan journalist Larry Madowo has received a major promotion at CNN.
Madowo, who is the former BBC North America Correspondent, has now been promoted to the position of CNN International Correspondent.
Madowo made the revelation after he updated his profile online to reflect his new position. He will now be covering news beyond the Nairobi area that includes the whole of East Africa.
Madowo started his broadcasting career at Kenya Television Network at the age of 20. He was a news anchor at NTV Kenya before joining BBC. He then moved on and served as the BBC Africa Business Editor before becoming the BBC’s North America Correspondent in Washington.
