MPesa Services Outage: M-Pesa services will tomorrow night be unavailable. The services will be unavailable from 11:59 pm on Tuesday to Wednesday at 4:00 am, Safaricom has announced. Safaricom announced that it had timed the outage so that customers would suffer the least of incoveniences.
In a statement that was shared on the telecommunication firm’s social media pages, the telecommunication company announced that services including airtime purchases shall also be unavailable.
“We are constantly investing and innovating M-Pesa to ensure that we continue to meet the needs of our customers as well as continue to support our partners in their business ambitions. To support this continued transformation, we regularly undertake enhancements and maintenance of our systems from time to time,” the statement read.
Safaricom has been carrying out maintenance services that have seen outage of the money transfer service. The latest of these services was in late September.

In June, M-Pesa suffered downtime for hours. The downtime came at a time when Safaricom had just introduced a mini-app feature on its new M-Pesa app, which incorporated with mini applications of services such as deliveries, ticket booking, shopping, licences applications, insurance, government services, and utilities which customers frequently need.
