Preparations are well underway for the inaugural Africa Prosperity Dialogues beginning to confirm its speaker’s line-up of leaders from across the African continent.
The new dates have also been set for the inaugural Africa Prosperity Dialogue, dubbed the Kwahu Summit. It will now be taking place on 26-28 January 2023 in Accra, Ghana, instead of 26th -30th October 2022.
Acting as another foundation for the next phase in Africa’s accelerating economic development, the Africa Prosperity Dialogues will bring together heads of all Regional Economic Communities under the African Union, industry, business and thought leaders. The primary objective will be to fast-track the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (ACFTA), one of the world’s most important trade arrangements.

In partnership with the Ghanaian Presidency, African leaders invited to speak include South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Kenyan President William Ruto and Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch.
The Summit’s Executive Chairman Gabby Otchere-Darko said the dialogues have high ambitions to achieve the continued economic development for African nations:
“As Africa pushes ahead with developing the largest free trade area in the world after the WTO itself, it is vital that the voice and might of business is heard and felt in the ownership of the project and its processes,” he said.
“The Summit provides this opportunity, and we look forward to working with leaders from across the world in making it a success in the weeks and months to come.”
The Africa Prosperity Dialogues will also provide networking opportunities, a platform for announcements by African leaders and the space to formulate plans for the continent’s economic development.
