Running from 3rd to 7th October 2016, the globally celebrated customer service week champions the essence of customer service and that of the people that serve and support customers on a daily basis. The initiative allows organizations to identify and appreciate their customers for their loyalty as well as recognize and appreciate staff for the role they play in delivering great customer experience.
The company’s customer service team will engage both staff and customers in an exercise aimed at discovering new ways to enhance customer delight through better service delivery. Employees will also be enlightened on how to better relate with customers whilst interacting with Airtel’s products and services.
In a statement, Airtel Kenya CEO Adil El Youssefi emphasized the company’s commitment to maintain excellence in service delivery, urging all staff to continue offering themselves to serve customers and other stakeholders with a smile.
“Our business is anchored on ensuring that our customers and associates feel valued and appreciated during this week and always. We shall endeavor to continuously improve our customer service and products as we interact with our customers”, said Adil.
Adil also accentuated that Airtel will continue to innovate and unveil reliable, affordable and competitive products and services that will meet the needs its consumers.
Airtel’s top management also engaged directly with customers in Nairobi by serving them in the various Airtel shops in the city such as the Koinange Street Shop as well as the Airtel shop at Prestige Plaza.
Airtel staff will end the week in a CSR activity at the Kibera Town centre where they shall donate books to the library and have talks with the youth that visit the centre. The Kibera Town Centre is a social enterprise under the Human Needs Project that is uniquely designed to provide solutions to challenges in slums and informal settlements through a holistic solution of basic, empowerment and transformational services under a one stop shop model.
