Akothee: Why I no longer show off my multi-million mansions

Kenyan musician Akothee owns the most luxurious and high end mansion amongst local entertainment celebrities. A few years ago, Akothee was known to share videos and photos of her mansions with her followers.

But this has not been the case over the last couple of months. And the singer has come out to explain why.

According to Akothee, who is popularly known as Madam Boss, she is no longer able to flaunt her mansions because of the responsibilities that come with wealth and maintenance of the properties, which she feels are too exhausting.

“This is where I eat, sleep and rest and I don’t even take photos. But If I was in someone’s hotel? Rented no one of you would have slept. I’d be making reels, tiktok videos, Insta stories, status…eeh. Wealth comes with shocking responsibilities that as soon as you are done with bills of maintenance, you don’t want to see a camera man,” she said.

Akothee’s mansion in Rongo is claimed to be worth an estimated Sh. 100 million. She also owns another mansion at Mombasa’s North Coast beachfront, whose estimated value is claimed to be Sh. 120 million. Lastly, she owns a house in Nairobi’s leafy suburbs which is said to be worth a staggering Sh. 80 million.

Akothee has previously come out to share how her last born’s baby daddy helped improve her life.

“The man was truly loaded and he showered me with gifts cash. He once gifted me with a brand new Prado on my birthday and gave me Sh. 80 million to put a roof over my growing family. The French man is the father of my last born, my fifth child. We are now separated,” she said.
