Milele FM presenter Alex Mawakideu has announced his exit from the Mediamax-owned station after five years of service.
The media personality on Monday took to social media to thank his fans for supporting him for the duration he worked at the station.
“It’s been 5 years ndani ya Milele FM. Nime enjoy!!! Let me say Ahsante sana to you, the Listener because without you, hakuna radio! You are the reason we do this thing called Radio.”
“Let me also say Asante sana to all my colleagues, the ones I am leaving behind and the ones who left Milele FM already. Thank you all. Tuliipiga, na Ikapigika!! Page closed. Onto the next one! Guess tunaenda wapi next….” Â he wrote.

At the time of his exit, Mwakideu was the head of radio at the station. He joined Milele FM in 2018 from Radio Maisha, where he had worked for eight years alongside Jalang’o (current Lang’ata MP).
The duo reunited later at Milele FM before Jalango’s exit to Kiss FM, where he co-hosted the breakfast show alongside Kamene Goro.  After the exit, Mwakideu worked with MCA Tricky as his co-host and, later on, Jackline Nyaminde, aka Wilbroda.
His exit has now raised speculations that he could be headed to Radio 47. The station, which is barely a year old, has been on a poaching spree in recent times, luring top presenters to its stable.
