Yesterday 22 Feb 2017 Bizna hosted its first Agribusiness forum and to be specific we focussed on Poultry. The event had the questions of poultry starters all answered from Breeding, housing, feeding, diseases, symptoms treatment and management.
The event was graced by a big turn up of the people interested in poultry farming and those who are already doing poultry farming. With many people coming from outside Nairobi we were humbled with their commitment and love for the agribusiness sector and for the information we provide on our platform. We continue to thank Mr. Chege Reuben, Ms. Wairimu, Njeri, Martin, Peter Njoroge and Maurice who travelled from Nyeri. Mrs. Odiambo Sarah, Patricia Akello and Francis who travelled all the way from Kisumu together with those who travelled from Nakuru, Nairobi and Thika.
With three panelists including Mr. Martin a Kari and improved Kienyeji breeder and trainer, Franklin Kiwanuka an agricultural consultant and Mr. Chris an experienced poultry and Horticulture trainer the event expounded in question and answer session that saw many of the poultry farmers doubts cleared.
Mr. Chris trained about improved Kari kienyeji management together with the factors to consider in order for you to achieve your expectations in the Kari Kienyeji such as quick growth, more eggs and disease resistance levels.
Mr. Franklin Kiwanuka trained about the poultry diseases, sanitation standards in poultry housing, vaccination program and prevention measures. The forum ended in content of the attendants’ desires and aspirations.
