Boeing, the world’s largest aerospace manufacturer has opened its first African office in Nairobi. This is after the company decided to open two offices in Africa, which will be based in Nairobi and Johannesburg, South Africa.
The Nairobi office will headed by Chamsou Andjorin, the director for government affairs and market development. The South African office will be headed by Miguel Santos, who is also the managing director for Sub-Saharan Africa and director for International Sales , Africa at Boeing.
According to Boeing, Africa is expected to require at least 1,150 new airplanes over the next 20 years. In the same vein, according to the Current Market Outlook report, air traffic to and from Africa is expected to grow by about 6.1 per cent every year.
