Trucks and buses body builder LSHS has been placed under administration over a Sh. 1.1 billion loan it owes the KCB Group. Bus and trucks body building firm whose full label is Labh Singh Harnam Singh Limited (LSHS) was placed under administration by the High Court from February 4, 2025.
Following the move, the High Court appointed Ponangipalli Venkata Ramana Rao and Swaroop Rao Ponangipalli as joint administrators for LSHS which was established in 1950 for commercial body building.
“Following the appointment [of Ponangipalli Venkata Ramana Rao and Swaroop Rao Ponangipalli as joint administrators], all the affairs and business of the company are being conducted by the joint whose powers extend to all assets and undertakings of the company. The powers of the directors in terms of dealing with the company’s assets ceased,” Ponangipalli Venkata Ramana Rao and Swaroop Rao Ponangipalli said in a joint notice.
“Any party having a claim against the company shall submit the claim in writing with relevant supporting documentation to the joint administrators not later than March 15, 2025. The joint administrators act as agents of the company without personal liability.”

The company currently has a capacity for the production of up to 60 units per month and has been servicing orders for new vehicle bodies over the years from prominent dealers including Isuzu East Africa, Scania East Africa, DT Dobie, CMC Motors Group, Simba Colt Limited, Hino Motors, and King Long.
