During the launch, Kennar disclosed that the restaurant would specialize in fast foods and Swahili dishes. According to him, the idea of putting up the food joint was inspired by his need to create employment for young people.

“The restaurant currently has six employees. This is good since I’ve always wanted to open job opportunities for my fellow young people to enable positive growth in the society. I believe in people growing together and supporting one another,” he said during the launch of the restaurant.

A few months after its launch, Instant Delicacies became popular for its grilled chicken and fries. In January this year, the restaurant, through its official Instagram account, announced its exit from Juja.

“Instant Delicacies would like to inform the public of its intention to withdraw its operations from Juja. The premises will remain closed starting Friday, January 20. Our services will be temporarily unavailable as we wait to announce a new location. We apologise for any inconvenience caused,’’ reads the notice.
