Popular business journalist and TV presenter at Royal Media’s Citizen Television, TerryAnne Chebet has launched a new line of organic body and hair oils products.
Ms. Chebet launched the beauty products dubbed Keyara Organics on Friday through her Keyara Brand which she launched two years ago. The products include body butters, body balms and hair food.
Through her brand, Ms. Chebet will be offering a range of natural products formulated using oils and butters from across Africa such as Shea Butter from Northern Uganda, Cocoa Butter from Ghana, Coconut Oil from Kenya, Marula Oil from South Africa and Kenya, Argan oil from Morocco.
Ms. Chebet further noted that there was a gap in quality packaging for small businesses ad challenged packaging manufacturers to start offering affordable and quality packaging. “For us to compete effectively, we must be able to locally access or afford quality packaging. The minimum quantities of these packages are however restrictive to small businesses,” she said.
The event was attended by among others Kiprono Kittony, Chairman Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Phylis Wakiaga, CEO, Kenya Association of Manufacturers.
