Insurance agent Zipporah Wambui in soup over Riverside terror attack

DusitD2 Terror Suspect: An insurance agent appeared in a Nairobi court Thursday in connection with the terror attack at the DusitD2 hotel complex last week.

Zipporah Wambui Karanja, who works for Directline company, is accused of procuring insurance for two vehicles used by the Dusit attackers.

The court allowed police to hold the DusitD2 terror suspect for 15 days to allow investigators complete probe.

Eight other suspects have already appeared before court over the attack and are being detained for 30 days.

The assault that took place on January 15 left 21 people dead and more than 700 rescued.

Al Shabaab terror group which hails from Somalia claimed responsibility for the attack.

The attack has gone on to shock Kenyans following revelations that the key perpetrators in the attack were Kenyans born and raised in this country.
