Elvis Muriithi, a Kenyan living in London, UK, has come out to share some of the things Kenyans seeking to work abroad should avoid.
In a video on his YouTube channel, Muriithi, a healthcare assistant, warned Kenyans against befriending fellow Kenyans abroad who he claims are deceitful.
According to him, the UK offers many opportunities to make money and build wealth, but some Kenyans tend to block their countrymen from reaching their full potential.
”One of the things you should avoid when coming to the UK is Kenyans. If you must interact with them, let it be a need-based interaction. Also, when looking for a house, get one in an area where there are no Kenyans,’’ he said.
Describing Kenyans as nosy and jealous, Muriithi said it’s hard for a Kenyan to help or notify their fellow countrymen whenever there are opportunities, adding that they only celebrate someone’s downfall.

”Once you open up to a Kenyan, then be ready to go home. These people will pretend to be your friend but later deceive you. They will even tell you off to the immigration department or gang up against you at the workplace if you are working in the same company,’’ added Muriithi.
He urged Kenyans abroad to borrow a leaf from other nationalities, who are always on the frontline supporting the dreams of their fellow countrymen.
Speaking to Bizna, Muriithi, who lives in London with his family, revealed he moved to the European nation in search of greener pastures after years of teaching.
His teaching career in English and literature has seen him journey to various countries, including Ethiopia and Somaliland, where he lived and worked.
Besides his healthcare assistant job, Muriithi is a director of Superb Property Solutions LTD, a real estate company.
Further, he recently joined content creation and has a YouTube channel christened MAISHA LONDON where he shares content about the need-knows of planning, migrating, and living in the UK. Click here to subscribe.
