Omondi : I lied about owning multi-million Karen mansion

Co-Op post

In September 2021, comedian Eric Omondi shocked many when he claimed that he had purchased a multi-million mansion in the posh Karen suburbs.

The mansion, Omondi claimed, was worth a whopping Sh. 141 million. “This house cost me Sh. 72 million and it is a culmination of my hard work in 14 years of comedy,” the comedian said. He added that the land on which the house stands cost Sh. 69 million, bringing the total to Sh. 141 million.

Omondi said that he had been living in Kileleshwa before relocating to the new mansion. The comedian further said that he had only lived in the mansion for thee days by the time he showed off the house to the public.

The comedian has now come out to say that the house does not belong to him. The comedian said that he had lied about the house’s ownership as part of an elaborate bid to attract attention for the third edition of his Wife Material Show. While speaking at Jalang’o’s Bonga na Jalas show, Omondi said that he has created a showbiz character that he uses for his entertainment purposes. It is obvious that house in Karen is not mine, that’s what Eric Omondi does,” he said.

To give credence to the claim of owning the house, Omondi’s fellow comedian Butita had come out to say that he knew about the purchase, and had warned Omondi to buy a ranch instead of the mansion.

In yet another Eric Omondi scandal, the comedian further revealed that he had also lied about siring a child with musician Miss P in a bid to create hype around their new song together. However, his clout chasing antics had degenerated into an ugly spat with the mother of child Jacque Maribe.
