Please be cautious and do not share misleading content. Stay informed and verify before believing or reposting,” Mr. Raval said in a statement.
The video seen by Bizna Kenya has been alleging that there is an investment opportunity for Kenyans in which they can make half a million shillings from an investment of just Sh32,400.

According to financial analyst Eliud Kaigwa, scammers are using the popularity of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin to lure unsuspecting investors with the promise of high rewards. He adds that in addition to this, scammers are tricking people to log into fake cryptocurrency exchange sites, some of which are well disguised and hard to tell apart.
Takeaway: How to spot conmen
- Private details: they will quickly begin to ask for your private details. These will include bank accounts, private contacts, driver’s licenses, passport numbers and even residential areas. Bear in mind that skillful conmen will lure you with seemingly innocuous but strategic questions like ‘Where do you bank?’
- Speedy deals:Â their deals will always be behind schedule and demanding of instant attention. They will move them very fast, trying to show you how you stand to reap big within a short term.
- Your money:Â the deal will lean towards one financial side, where you will be required to cough up cash to speed up the deal or get a slight hindrance dealt with.
- Irresistible deals: a conman will put a great deal on the table that you mayn’t be able to resist. If it’s too good, raise your suspicions. It probably is a con. Do not allow the glitter of the deal blind you. Don’t rush to make easy money. Easy good money doesn’t exist.
