CS Amina disbands FKF, names retired judge Ringera as football caretaker

FKF Disbandment: Cabinet Secretary for Sports Ambassador Amina Mohamed has disbanded the FKF. CS Amina has then appointed a caretaker committee that shall be headed by retired judge Justice Aaron Ringera.

The disbandment of the FKF has brought to an end the tumultuous reign of FKF chairman Nick Mwendwa, who is facing corruption allegations. Mwendwa is also widely accused of running down local football. However, the move by CS Amina has placed Kenya at the risk of a ban by world football governing body Fifa.
