Kenyans to have free access to all national parks during Jamhuri Day

Kenyan citizens will, on Tuesday next week during the Jamhuri Day celebrations, have free entry to all national parks and Museums, Tourism Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua has said.

“In commemorating our 60th year of independence, the Government proudly announces free entry for Kenyan citizens to all national parks and museums on Jamhuri Day, December 12, 2023.

The CS said the free entry, beginning at 6 am and ending in the evening at 6 pm, will allow Kenyans to relish the gifts bestowed by nature. It will also cover marine parks, animal orphanages, and the Safari Walk.

KWS set to increase Nairobi National Park fees from Sh. 430 to Sh. 2,000

“This initiative aligns with our collective pride in being Kenyan and our desire for everyone to relish the gifts bestowed upon us by nature,” he announced.

Kenyans intending to enjoy the free offer will have to prove their identity through various documentation such as the ID.  Children will be required to be accompanied by parents or guardians.
